Barbara Lamelza

Barbara Lamelza's beauty career began in Berlin in 1989. Training under the mentorship of Oscar winning hair and makeup artist Hasso Von Hugo in the arenas of opera, theatre, and film, Lamelza worked on numerous amazing productions including "Phantom of the Opera."  She spent the next 7 years broadening her skills by working in the fashion and advertising industries, and in 1995, relocated to Los Angeles to work with celebrities in both film and print. 

Lamelza has had the opportunity to work with countless A-list celebrities, including Scarlett Johansson, Mila Jovovich, Glenn Close, Michelle Williams, Jamie Alexander, Amanda Seyfried, Mena Suvari, Priscilla Presley, Laura Dern, Alicia Vikander, Hugh Jackman, James Franco, Jamie Fox and Olivia Wilde. Her work has been featured in many renowned publications such as Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, Cosmopolitan, Glamour, and Elle UK. She has worked alongside some of the top photographers in the industry including Rankin, Miles Aldridge, Christian Schuller, and Phillipe Kerlo, and has been the key makeup or the key makeup and hair artist on several movies with directors like Wim Wenders, Rodrigo Garcia, and many others. 

Whether working in Europe, Australia, South Africa or the U.S., Lamelza's goal is to enhance the beauty of every person she works with, and to bring out their features with as little makeup as possible. She loves the creativity that comes along with applying dramatic makeup, and never shies away from a challenge.
